The LODGE Lodge Logic Double Dutch Oval L8DD3 is a new model with a deep lid and a handle on the kitchen oven loop handle. Lid can also be used as a skillet. You can roll a sponge cake or dish potato or flip it over for double sided cooking. After many years of research from Lodge, this is a ready-to-use. The Lodge Logic has been finished with a coating on the surface to give it a stately finished product that has been used for many years. LODGE Lodge was born in 1896 by Joseph Lodge in South Pittsburgh, USA. Since then, we have been adhering to cast irons with the belief that choosing good tools is the first step in creating delicious dishes. LODGE cast iron products are pre-seasoned with soy oil and factory use. Just pop it out of the box and wash it with warm water and you can use it immediately without any messy break-in. Cast iron features slow transfer of heat. Cast iron may be similar to stone than iron with high heat conductivity. Furthermore, the flesh build of 5 mm enhances its metallic properties. This gives you the heat control that other cookware can, and brings the flavor of the ingredients out of the core. It can be used for direct flames, induction heaters, halogen heaters, as well as in the oven. Not for microwave use

La pentola ed il suo coperchio sono due ottimi strumenti di cottura. Entrambi possono essere usati singolarmente. Suggerisco di seguire il sito del produttore per gli approfondimenti relativi all'uso, alla pulizia, alla manutenzione e alla conservazione di una pentola che, se ben trattata, può avere una durata infinita!

Ich habe lange überlegt, welchen Top ich mir kaufe, um darin Brot zu backen. Ich habe mich für diesen entscheiden, auch weil er keinen Deckel ohne Knauf (oben) hat. So kann ich auch ein Brot in den Deckel stürzen und die Topf als Deckel verwenden.Ich habe ihn einmal mit Leinöl im Backofen eingebracht, obwohl man das laut Herstellerseite (leider nur englisch) nicht braucht.Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen. Backen daran jeden Freitag unser Brot und bin mega happy. Foto ist von meinem ersten Brot in diesem Top - gekauft vor 10 Wochen.

Decidí comprar estas cazuelas de hierro por moda, y no me arrepiento estas hermosas me llegaron perfectas, costó wooow ya las usé y todo perfecto compré los guantes y el cepillo para lavarlas y están perfectas no se han oxidado ni nada como decíanDude del tamaño pero es un tamaño ideal

This is my first Lodge purchase and I am very pleased. I am working on my cast iron collection, other purchase was the 12” Victoria skillet and 4 Qt. Dutch oven ( also from Amazon). After reading all the Amazon reviews I went with the American company because I needed a bigger Dutch oven than the 4Qt. I seasoned it twice before using and it worked perfectly. I love the cast iron cookware, so rustic and the performance can’t be beat. Yes a bit more work involved to keep them in good shape, but well worth it. I am waiting for more Cast iron items to hopefully come into stock. Very pleased with this Lodge 5 Qt Dutch oven, and excellent price point.

Son muy buenos instrumentos de cocina. Ojo! No es de teflón, y cosas con mucha adherencia se le van a pegar, por ejemplo el huevo, pero es cuestión de paciencia. Recomiendo antes de cocinar algo que se pueda pegar, vertir una cantidad considerable de aceite a modo de que cubra toda la superficie del sartén y dejar que se caliente hasta que esté humeando. Después escurrir el aceite y limpiar la superficie del sartén con una tortilla o una rebanada de pan.

I have only managed to wash and "season" the pot and lid/frying pan. I'll check out the fry pan tomorrow morning when I make breakfast. Hopefully I won't have to chisel the eggs off the pan. ? It's been many years since I cooked with cast iron.So, I guess I'll try a lower heat setting when I make breakfast tomorrow. ?

La pentola è molto delicata perchè tende facilmente ad arrugginire, ma se asciugata completamente e velocemente questo non succede. Il vero problema è che rilascia un materiale grigio/nero, che si ritrova anche nel cibo cucinato. Anche se si trattasse di residui del trattamento antiaderente fatto dal costruttore, la cosa non mi tranquillizzerebbe, poichè sarebbero residui di olio bruciato (cancerogeno). Cercando su internet si trovano informazioni rassicuranti a riguardo, ma il perdurare della cosa anche dopo mesi e mesi di lavaggi, mi ha fatto desistere dall'usarla.

insomma come molti hanno mostrato nelle foto queste pentole hanno dei difetti, secondo me sono di una partita tutta difettata, se questo è stato scritto io non lo ho notato.Effettivamente il prezzo è molto basso per una pentola di buona qualità MADE in USA.Quindi sono molto scontento della disonesta del venditore che non dice che la partita è difettata.Comunque per il prezzo e la qualità è un buon acquisto, il difetto è solo estetico non cambierà la durabilità della pentola, ne la qualità della cottura.Per chi si lamenta della ruggine sappiate che anche le migliori pentole in ghisa smaltate francesi in cira un anno cominciano a far notare un pò di ossidazzione, tra tutti i suoi usi le lunghe cotture in umido non sono certo le migliori per la ghisa, cmq io ci faccio di tutto dalla cottura della pasta, al brasato, al pane

Great cast iron set, use it for most Of my cooking. The lid is great for Use as a smaller frypan- I make pizza, frittata, meat pie and apple pie in the lid amongst many other things, it crisps pie bases very well. The lid is heavy and it seals well as a Dutch oven.The only downside is it needs more preseasoning. I tried risotto in the pot and it stuck, so since use more oil. Also there were some burs on the handles that make it uncomfortable. I’ve not had this same issue with others Lodge products.

Ho comprato questo Dutch Owen più di 2 anni fa, l'ho usato per cucinare stufati di carne, verdure e non mi è piaciuto per questo scopo, perché la carne, verdure, sugo uscivano molto scuri, anneriti. Dutch Owen ha passato due anni sul soppalco, dopo di che ho scoperto che è ideale per fare il pane con la pasta madre a casa. Da 2-3 mesi lo uso una volta a settimana almeno per fare un pane, e devo dire che esce buonissimo e essendo coperto per primi 30 minuti di cottura, non si appiattisce come succedeva sulla sola pietra refrattaria, ma cresce bello tondo. Sono molto soddisfatta del acquisto.

It was pre-seasoned and easy to re- season. Cleans without fuss. Size was perfect for my needs. Some other camp ovens are just too big and difficult to manage in a household kitchen. They might be ok for a camp site but when you juggling pots, pans, trays and multiple oven items, the size of this 5 Quart (4.7) is just perfect. At the moment there is nothing I can find fault with. The double dutch lid (without handle on top) is also great as you can get dual use out of this dutch oven and use the lid as a skillet. Is great for baking bread on the lid with oven over the top.

This is a great cooking tool if you would spend the time cleaning and maintaining it. I cleaned it with soup when it first arrived and season it with olive oil. After cooking stew or soup with it each time you would want to season it again especially the bottom of the lid because steam water dropplets stay on top and may form ruat stains if you dont clean it off and reseason right away.I use a paper towel to spread the oil when I season under a low heat flame. Its different than non-stick pot, but i feel this gives me a more even cook and it breaks down protein quicker when used properly.
