I have updated my opinion down from a 4 to a 2..I had trouble with the tips unscrewing from the cable... but I guessed that to be just something one learns to live with and remember to check the connection for tightness at appropriate intervals. Then one end of one of the cables slipped out of the connector that screws into the needle-point. rendering that cable useless. IF, this product manages to stay in my knitting tool kit... it will only serve to be a desperation back up tool.

After less than four months time, one of the needles won't tightly screw into the cable. It'll continue to turn clockwise forever without becoming tight. Then when knitting, it comes undone. These are very frustrating and unless the seller offers a replacement, I'll be out'the cost of the needles as I can no longer use.

I am extremely pleased with these needles. The cable is especially nice in that it straightens out immediately instead of remaining curly. The join of the cable and needle is very smooth and does not get "caught" on the yarn. The points of the needles are very fine and smooth. I am sold on these needles and will go about acquiring more sizes. A quality product for a lot less money than Addi needles which I have used since I began knitting about 6 years ago.

I have used the Karbonz double points and loved them so I was excited to buy this interchangeable set. I found that the first time I connected a pair of the tips for the size 7 needle, it just spun on the screw and did not tighten at all, like it was stripped. The tightening tools could not be used as they were all too large to fit in the hole on the cable. I have Knitter's Pride Dream needles and I have never had this problem with them. The quality of this set is just poor. Save your money and buy something else.

I bought this set expecting exceptional quality given the price, but after having this set for six months, the carbon on my size 8's is wearing down to the point that stitches are catching underneath the metal tips, and the metal coating on my size 10's chipped off (months ago, actually, on the first project I used them on). Not worth the price by any means. I regret having bought these. It's too late to return them, but I most likely won't buy any more Knitter's Pride needles.

The set I received did not have a smooth transition from the cable connection to the needle shaft. There was a definite catch. I'm sticking with Knitters Pride wooden interchangeable needles. I really wanted to like the carbon fiber needles which feel good to the hand and look good to the eye, not acceptable catch when knitting,. Product returned

My biggest complaint is that I've knitted only one baby blanket with them and the needle size printing has already worn off. VERY faintly, the size is also on the connector end on the metal, but it should be engraved into the needles. Yes, I've had issues with them unscrewing, but I just tighten them at the end of every four or five rows. No big deal. They're very comfortable in my hands and I can knit quickly.

I like the cables and when I use the included key, they stay attached tightly. However, I can feel the seam where the metal needle tip meets the carbon body of the needle and it slows me down to have that rough spot. Additionally, one of the size 5 needles became completely separated from the base of the needle. I glued it back in with some monster glue, but I see it's coming loose again. I can only give a lukewarm recommendation to these needles. I don't know if these rough joins are just something that we have to deal with when using interchangeable needles, but for now I'm using Addi fixed circular needles.

I like how the needles are stored but the needles themselves are trash. The joins are not smooth and I had one needle tip come completely off. Also with use the needle color has come off and are now gray.

These are horrible. The cords separate from the end tips. I returned one set and they sent a second. I had the same problem again, but now it is too late to get a return or refund.I bought a second set for a friend. These could not be tightened with the key. She spent an inordinate amount of time screwing the cords and needle tips together.AWFULDo NOT buy these

The needle set marked US 5 (3.75 mm) did not match. Even though they both had size 5 size imprinted on the black carbon part of the needle, one needle was clearly thicker than the other. Upon closer inspection, the larger needle had size 6 imprinted on the steel end. Obviously this was a quality control error. When I contacted Knitter's Pride, they told me that I have to go through the seller to get a replacement for that particular needle. Unfortunately, their policy states, "The following items are not covered under our return policy: Items not purchased through an authorized Knitter's Pride dealer (e.g. eBay, Amazon purchase)." I will be returning this set to Amazon.

The smallest size in my set is wonky and won't screw in right to the cords, and when I asked about a return, I was told it wasn't possible. The remainder of the set is good though.

Great needles. Don't love the case but it works. Needles are perfection. Easy to use, slick but not slippery, pointy enough, wonderful feel in the hand. The cables are supple and don't break or bend at the attachment. What more could I ask for?

The needles for this system are excellent. However, the overall design of the connecting system is terribly flawed. Without much warning the needle will unscrew from the cord possibly resulting in your work falling off the cable.

This is a very nice set. The needles work loose from the wire though. Very annoying. I stopped this by using purple Loctite on the threads; it keeps them fastened but is weak enough to allow the needle to be changed.

This was a difficult decision because there are so many interchangeable circular needle sets available now. The cables lock and stay locked; the cables are very flexible and best of all, the needles have wonderfully sharp points. I will probably buy other sizes at some point (heh-heh) andI don't hesitate to recommend these needles to anyone.

They are the best of both worlds. They grip the yarn so it doesn't slide off, yet have slick tips for quick knitting. By holding the Karbonz needles you don't feel the cold that you would with metal needles. The connector joins are smooth and seamless and the cable is flexible but doesn't get twisted/coiled up. I've used other interchangeables and these are worth the investment.

Poor workmanship on the connector joints. Some of the needle tips have threads that are stripped causing them to not connect tightly. They separate from the cable connection and the yarn gets stuck in the space. Other needle tips work fine, but unfortunately the project I am currently working on required the damaged needle size.
