This is the second Taylor kitchen scale I have purchased. I love that it's accurate and doesn't take up a lot of room. I have even used it to weigh letters and it agrees with the scale at the post office. I bought this scale because my husband got a similar Taylor scale wet while washing dishes and it stopped working. After my new scale was delivered the old one started working again after it dried out. Now I have two Taylor scales of similar style and they both work perfectly. I love this scale.

I have two Taylor scales and they are extremely accurate. I've checked their weight readings with the post office and they're never off by more than one tenth of an ounce. I use them on a daily basis. My first one is 4 years old and still perfect. Even the battery has never been changed!

The scale seems high quality and is simple to use. It shuts off on it's own if you don't leave anything on it, so your batteries don't die. Batteries included! This scale is very consistent, giving me the same readings every time. I can't speak to it's accuracy because I don't have a second scale to compare it to, but I'd like to think it is on point. I have yet to find some kitchen item too heavy for this. My heaviest milk jug or wine bottle are all well below the 5 kg limit. My heaviest item is my milk, weighing in at just over 2 kg.I bought this scale so I could more easily and more accurately track the food I eat to enter in my FitBit app. This makes tracking my food stupid simple. I don't have to worry about what size tortilla shell it is, I can just log how many grams of white flour tortilla I have eaten. There is no need for me to try to measure out drinks- I simply weigh the container before and after. Turns out my cups are 20 ounces, not 12 ounces. Ooops. You really learn a lot about what you eat when you weigh it, and it makes the calorie intake estimates near perfect.

I really like this scale. It is accurate, very simple to use and to clean -- it even looks good. I use it far more than I have used previous food scales; for example, I weigh the Parkay Squeeze margarine bottle before and after dispensing in order to count the calories. I use both grams and ounces and it takes only one touch of one button to change between them. The calories per unit of weight for a lot of foods is expressed in grams. I use ounces when mixing drinks. Getting the tare weight of a container is very easy, and the scale can automatically subtract the tare weight from the total weight. Sounds like it could be complicated, but it is not. I have used the scale daily for sixty days.

When making your own bread the ingredients have to be the exact measurements of your recipe or it won't turn out right. This is especially true when it comes to measuring flour. And so it is very important to have a good scale.I like that the reading on the scale keeps your measurement for 3 minutes before turning off.I really like the tare button so you can use any bowl or cup and push tare and it clears that weight and only measures your flour for example.I like that it takes normal batteries AAA and no weird disc batteries. Because we always have these type batteries around the house.I also like how with the touch of a button, you can change measurement to grams instead of ounces.This is my first digital kitchen scale and I love it.

I owned this exact same scale for the last 10 years. The only reason it broke was my fault. I placed it in the sink to clean and forgot, then someone filled the sink with water. I replaced it with the exact same one!!! I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still available. I would definitely recommend!

Works great for cutting up pounds of mushrooms or something and needing to weigh them for a soup or recipe. I love the take off the bowl or what have you weight option. So it starts at zero once the bowl is discounted for. Truly brilliant idea. It's really small and works great. Easy to use and gets the job done. Buy it.

Operated well for about 9 months before the off/on function stopped working. No spills on it, and replacing the batteries didn't help. That said, it wasn't expensive, it weighed pretty accurately, it adjusted the readout when more food was added (vs. having to press any buttons to do so), it used handy AAA batteries, like many kitchen scales it was easy to clean, and it took up very little space.

Great scale! Like the design, and it's very simply to use. LED is not back-lit, but the display is very easy to see. Actually pretty nice looking as well, with the silver base, and the non-detachable glass. Fits in well with a modern kitchen. The scale is also very accurate. Just wait about a minute before starting to weigh. The 'TARE" feature is good to have. Just weigh your empty bowl...dish..etc, hit tare, and it will zero so you can add your contents with no guessing. measures in ounces or grams. I really like this scale, and best of all it's affordable. Packaging was very good.

This is a great product. Six months ago I was diagnosed with LADA, a Type-1 diabetes, the onset of which can can be as late as one’s 60’s (actually, even later). During the first months (the “honeymoon stage”), I was able to regulate my blood sugar with a low carbohydrate diet. I’m now in the next stage and I require insulin. I’ve found that to calculate my insulin dose, I need to be able to measure the carbs, in each meal or snack, pretty precisely. I searched Amazon and found this little gem. It is perfect. It has the Tare function, which is essential to me. It measures in grams or ounces. And it looks nice on my kitchen counter - takes up very little space. I am totally happy with this purchase!

I weigh out exact portions of fresh poultries for my two puppies' lunch and dinner. I do this A LOT. The previous scale I had was such a pain! You never knew whether it would initiate in ounces or grams and you often had to wonder if its accuracy was being maintained. This scale has been a total pleasure for my purposes. I can't think of much about it that could be improved.

I bought this previously, the plate you place food on to measure was removable and easily washed. This one does not come off making it very difficult to wash, then it came off on its own while I was trying to wash the underside, and now is a real pain to use. I cannot recommend this product.

We previously had an identical unit but branded a "Biggest Loser". Consistent weights, easy to use, easy to read non-lighted display. Great price point. Definitely recommended. The only con is that it's made in china.

Wish I hadn't bought this one. The glass does not come off to be able to thoroughly wash it. I am afraid of getting the electronics wet and they won't work. It is also a bit to small for my needs. I would like an off switch. It is convenient that after sitting a while, it turns off by itself but it would be nice that I could just shut it off when I am done. The main reason is I cannot wash the scale surface to my liking. Maybe others just want to dust it off but after having meat and chicken on it, it doesn't work for me If I cannot clean it properly.
